This workshop is designed for all levels of individuals working with infants, young children and their families. Participants will learn how the infant’s brain develops from conception, what may influence health development, what would be expected to be “normal” and what may interfere with the process before birth. The workshop will cover how a “normal” brain develops with good nutrition and care giving vs. how the brain develops when malnourished, neglected and/or subjected to chaotic environments. Techniques to assist in brain development and to help repair some possible damages will be taught and discussed in detail.
